CHARTER plc Announcement of Board change and trading update

The Board of Charter plc announces that Mr Robert Careless has been appointed as Finance Director with immediate effect. He replaces Mr David Eilbeck who has resigned as a Director with effect from today and is leaving the Company.
Mr Careless, 50, joined Charter two years ago and has been responsible for corporate finance and restructuring during this period. He is a graduate of Oxford University and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified with KPMG. Prior to joining Charter, he has had wide experience of public company finance most recently as Finance Director and Company Secretary of Semara Holdings plc.
The trading performance for the first quarter and the outlook for the full year continue to be in line with the Board’s expectations.
