Charter plc appoints two new Non-Executive Directors

The Board of Charter plc announces that Grey Denham and Andrew Osborne have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors of Charter with immediate effect.

Grey Denham (55) is Group Secretary of GKN plc, the engineering supplier to the world’s automotive and aerospace manufacturers. A qualified lawyer, he joined GKN in 1980, first as in-house counsel, then as global head of the legal function, and has been Group Secretary since 1996. He serves as a director on the boards of the GKN group companies GKN Holdings plc and GKN (United Kingdom) plc. He is also President of GKN America Corp (GKN’s US subsidiary holding company) and Chairman of the GKN plc Board Sub Committee on Governance and Risk.

Andrew Osborne (38) is Finance Director of Geoffrey Osborne Ltd., a privately owned construction company with turnover of £200 million. A qualified chartered accountant, he began his career at Ernst & Young before joining Trafalgar House plc/Kvaerner plc where he became Finance Director of Kvaerner Metals Clecim in Paris.

Neither serves as a director of any other public company and there are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules.
